Weekly Programme
Sunday Services - 10:30 am & 6:30 pm
Every Sunday we meet twice for worship. The services at MEC purposely include a mixture of both traditional and contemporary elements of worship so that we may benefit from the wealth of both old and new. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the 1st Sunday evening and 3rd Sunday morning each month.
On special occasions (Mothering Sunday, Easter Sunday, Harvest Sunday, Remembrance and at Christmas) we have an evangelistic/family service. Usually at these services there are no Junior Church classes although the crèche is still available if necessary.
As a church we do believe that unity is important and seek always to maintain this by being a loving and caring family. Indeed our motto text a few years ago was Hebrews 10:24 and this will always be a principle that we will seek to maintain:
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds” - Hebrews 10:24
Mid-Week Meetings - Tuesdays 7:30 pm
Each week we meet for Bible study and prayer and these meetings do vary in format from conversational studies to preaching.
Practical Bible Living - first and third Thursdays each month at 10:15am
PBL is a discussion based Bible Study group that meets on the first and third Thursday mornings during term time in various homes. This group seeks to understand the Bible in order to apply God’s teaching to their everyday lives.
Ladies Christian Fellowship – second Tuesday each month at 2:15 pm
The Ladies Christian Fellowship is a monthly evangelistic and fellowship meeting for ladies. A speaker comes each month to talk on an interesting topic connected with the Christian Faith. Each year there are two highlights. In July one of the missionaries from the London City Mission comes to speak and this is followed by a Summer Tea in the garden. In December we have a Christmas meeting.

Copper Beeches Residential Home - fourth Thursday each month at 3:00 pm
Each month we have the privilege of going to this EMI home (Elderly Mentally Ill) to take a service. This is not only an opportunity to meet with the residents but to share with them something of the Gospel message.
Dates and details of all these meetings can be found on our calendar page |
